Game Day Potato Skins

TOTAL TIME: 1 hour
- 4 large baking potatoes
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup HORMEL® Real Bacon Bits, Pieces or Crumble
- Garnish: chopped green onions
- 1.Heat oven to 200°C (400°F).
- 2.Pierce each potato with fork. Bake potatoes directly on oven rack 50 minutes or until easily pierced with a knife. Let stand 10 minutes.
- 3.Cut potatoes in half lengthwise. Scoop out center of potato, leaving about 1/4 inch intact. Reserve potato flesh for another use.
- 4.Brush both sides of potato skins with butter. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- 5.Place potato skins on a baking sheet, skin sides up and broil 2 to 3 minutes or until crisp.
- 6.Flip skins and broil 2 to 3 minutes or until lightly browned.
- 7.Divide cheese and HORMEL® Real Bacon Bits, Pieces or Crumble evenly among skins and broil additional 2 minutes or until cheese has melted. Garnish with green onions, if desired.
