Bacon Cheddar Puffs

Recipe adapted for Hormel Foods and used with permission from The Kitchen Is My Playground.
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 100g (3.5oz) HORMEL® Real Bacon Bits, Pieces or Crumble
- 1 1/4 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1.Heat oven to 190°C (375°F).
- 2.In large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, garlic powder and salt.
- 3.Whisk in milk and egg until combined.
- 4.Stir in HORMEL® Real Bacon Bits, Pieces or Crumble, cheddar cheese, and green onion.
- 5.Let batter stand for 10 minutes and stir again.
- 6.Spray 24-cup miniature muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- 7.Spoon batter into muffin cups and fill each cup to the top.
- 8.Bake 16 to 18 minutes until puffed and golden brown on top.
- 9.Serve with salsa, warmed pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce for dipping, if desired.
