8-Layer Salad
SERVINGS: 10
- 1 head iceberg lettuce, cored and cut into pieces
- 1 cucumber, seeded and sliced
- 1 cup frozen peas, rinsed and drained
- 1 1/2 cups celery, thinly sliced
- 1 red onion or 4 scallions, thinly sliced
- 2 cups mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
- 170g (6 ounces) sharp Cheddar cheese
- 100g (3.5oz) HORMEL® Real Bacon Bits, Pieces or Crumble
- 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped (optional)
- 1.Layer first 5 ingredients, one at a time, in a large glass bowl; don’t mix the ingredients.
- 2.In another bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sour cream and sugar. Pour mixture over salad.
- 3.Layer cheese, HORMEL® Real Bacon Bits, Pieces or Crumble and egg, if desired, over dressing.
